In this role you’re going to be working on multiple web and backend applications within the multidisciplinary team. The team consists of developers, data analysts, data engineers and business analysts. As a Developer it is important that you already have solid experience with the JavaScript stack, both on the front and backend. The stack mostly consists of modern ES JavaScript (node.js) for backend, and Vue.js for frontend.
To be considered for this role, you should have:
- Strong proficiency with JavaScript (ES6/ECMAScript 2015 and above) and the modern JavaScript libraries.
- Code organization and documentation skills.
- Defensive programming.
- Basic understanding of the web communication protocols and ability to implement them with simple frameworks/libraries like express or axios.
- Familiarity with Progressive Web Applications and Single Page Applications and at least one of the frameworks (Vue, React, Angular, etc).
- Node-based module loaders and task runners (Webpack, Gulp or Grunt), creating npm modules.
- Understanding the nature of asynchronous programming and its quirks and workarounds.
- Good understanding of server-side templating languages (such as jade, EJS, pug, or lodash’s template()).
- Proficient understating of code versioning tools, such as GIT.
- Basic understanding of front-end technologies, such as HTML5, SCSS and CSS3.
- Creating database schemas that represent and support business processes.
Additionally, you should have:
- Hand on and implements complex Angular applications, directives, pipes, interceptor, services etc.
- Experience with reactive programming and composing Observables using RxJS or other Reactive programming techniques/libraries.
- Ability to make recommendations on UI design and UX best practices.
- Implementing automated testing platforms and unit tests.
- SQL (RDBMS) and NoSQL (Document) databases.
- Proficiency with old-school JavaScript libraries as jQuery.
